NIGHT AUDIT

Hotel Marlowe, 03:33. You are the night auditor. Audit every floor from 8 down to the Lobby.

"If you spot something wrong on this floor, do not proceed. Turn back immediately."

The elevator opens onto the same hallway every time: green wallpaper, eight walnut doors, six warm lamps, the ice machine humming, a green EXIT sign over the stair door at the far end. Your clipboard holds the Floor Guide, a ten-line checklist of exactly what a correct floor looks and sounds like.

If the floor matches the guide, take the stairs. If anything is wrong, walk back to the elevator, press the call button and file a report: mark the line that was wrong. One wrong call and the audit starts again from floor 8.

CONTENT WARNING: jump scares, sudden loud sounds, flickering and flashing lights. On the title screen, J turns jump scares off and F reduces the flicker and flashes.

HOW IT WORKS

- A first-person hotel corridor that loops. Every floor looks the same, until it doesn't.

- 29 anomalies, from obvious to very subtle: rearranged room numbers, a changed EXIT sign, an upside-down painting, an open door, a clock running backwards, knocking from inside a room, a hallway that has grown...

- The Floor Guide is a real clipboard (TAB). Tick lines as you check them, and mark the wrong one when you file a report.

- Accurate reports shake loose notes from the auditor who wrote the guide in 1987. Find all eight to learn how to leave properly.

- Two endings. Headphones recommended: some anomalies are only heard.
